Welfare Services

Main Welfare Projects

Most of the population in Pakistan lives in remote areas where most of the Muslims are unaware of Kalma, Namaz, and other basic information. Muslim children are completely ignorant of religion, in fact many younger cannot even recite Quran. In this situation, Ma’arif-ul-Quran has organized a department of welfare services to introduce Islam among the Muslims in remote areas of the country, which has three main objectives.

Of course, in today’s age of tribulation, it is very important to spread religious knowledge, especially the teaching of Quran to common people. This project of ‘Makatib-e-Qarania’ was started in 2004. Despite difficult conditions and lack of resources, today in 2020 we established 150 Makatib-e-Qarania, where we provide authentic knowledge of Islam continuously. Around 3000 students studying there, so far 1000 students have been blessed with the completion of memorization of the Quran, and a number of students (girls) have completed their Nazra education.

The patrons of different religious institutes in Pakistan admire our work and wish to establish such Makatib-e-Qurania in their areas.

Building Various Mosques

The number of mosques in remote areas of Pakistan, along with Azad Kashmir, is almost non-existent, and most of the mosques are dilapidated due to lack of proper care. Several institutions are working to finish the shortage of mosques. Alhamdulillah, the constructions of 9 mosques have been completed in this year, while 4 new mosques are under construction. In addition, a project of building some more mosques is being considered for which, a fundraising campaign has already been launched.

Supply Potable Water

People residing in the remote areas of Pakistan, and Azad-Kashmir do not have access to clean drinking water. People walk miles for clean water. Families are often forced to relocate due to unavailability of water. Because of this difficult situation, Maarif-ul-Quran is trying their best to provide clean water. In this regard, a comprehensive plan has been drawn up for water tanks, supply pipelines, water motors, and digging wells. Allhamdulilah, so far, 64 projects of providing water to the needy have been completed. Some major projects are under consideration. Fundraising is in progress for these upcoming projects. May Allah fulfill these plans and accept them. Aameen!

Further Initiatives

Grocery Distribution

At the time of epidemics, earthquakes, and floods in our beloved homeland; groceries were provided to large numbers of people in interior Sindh, Balochistan, Ziarat, Balakot, and Azad Kashmir.

Recently in Corona virus pandemic, we distribute groceries in villages near Karachi and other parts of the country. White-collar people, who avoid reaching out to others despite their poverty, were also provided groceries at home with dignity.

Several medical camps were set up in Azad Kashmir with an extensive team of doctors, where we provided first aid to various patients. Some of the patients affected by earthquake also had to undergo surgery, and were provided with the required medicines.

Assistance of Earthquake Victims

At the time of floods and earthquakes in Pakistan and the Jammu & Kashmir, the institute sent their workers door-to-door to provide groceries and financial support to the victims. They also provided shelter to the people whose houses were affected by these hazards.

In remote area of Baluchistan and Azad Kashmir, a collective sacrifice (Ijtimai Qurbani) is arranged every year. Areas where people do not eat meat all year enjoy this facility on Eid-Ul-Adha.

Treatment of Poor Patients

Alhamdulillah, the institute provides best treatment to several poor patients with the help of its loyal assistance. If a patient needs surgery, our institute provides free treatment for them in a private hospital. Maarif-ul-Quran is thankful for all the assistance provided them to do this social work.
